Dark forest honey carries more of the plant compounds that pale, processed honey loses on the factory floor.
Single origin · Mount Apo · Mindanao
Raw forest honey from the untouched foothills of Mount Apo. Real honeycomb in every jar. Nothing added, nothing hurried.
Foothills of Mount Apo, where the forest still keeps its own hours.
Hinterland begins where the road ends. Past the last farm, under old canopy, wild bees work flowers no one planted. We follow them in, take only what the hive can spare, and carry it out the same day.
No commercial farming. No blending, no heating, no shortcuts in a back room. What the forest gives is what the jar holds, strained once through cloth and sealed by hand.
We didn’t invent this honey. We just refused to ruin it.
Dark forest honey carries more of the plant compounds that pale, processed honey loses on the factory floor.
Hundreds of flowering species in one canopy. No monocrop fields, no single-note sweetness.
These hives were never trucked between plantations. The bees live where they were born, and it shows in the jar.
We take a share, never the hive. Comb is cut by hand and the colony is left strong for the next season.
The signature jar. Wild floral nectar, strained once through cloth and never heated. Deep amber, long finish.
Reserve this jarA cut of real honeycomb suspended in its own honey. The jar on the label, exactly as promised.
Reserve this jarOne forest, one season, one batch. Bottled the week it leaves the hive and numbered by hand.
Reserve this jar
Wild hives in old canopy above the farms, found on foot and left exactly where they are.
Comb is cut by hand at first light, a share taken, the colony left strong for the next season.
Strained once through cloth, never heated, sealed the same day with the comb it came from.
From the hinterlands of Mindanao to your kitchen, moving no faster than it has to.
The comb in the jar convinced me. The taste made me order two more before the first was finished.
It tastes like a place, not a product. Darker and deeper than any honey I have bought in a supermarket.
I gave a jar to my mother and she asked where the rest were hiding. Now we split every batch.
Batches are small. When the forest gives, we bottle, and reserved jars go first. Leave your details and we will write back within a day.
